URGENT CAMP CARE POSTPONEMENT
Due to forecasted weather conditions, we have decided to postpone the Camp Care event. We want the event to be enjoyed by as many Campers as possible and feel the weather may prevent many from attending. We will reschedule and ensure Camp Care skates with us soon!
Camp Care
On Saturday, January 30th from 12-3pm, Carolinas FSC will need volunteers to serve as skating buddies for the campers who attend the 2010 Camp Care at the Extreme Ice Center. Camp CARE (Cancer Ain't Really the End) provides a week long summer camp experience and monthly activities to children and teens who have (or have had) cancer. The goal is to provide an opportunity for these children/teens to be kids again and enjoy kid-like activities. It also provides the participants with a support network by connecting families and children who often feel they are alone in this battle. Camp CARE is a 501(c)(3). Visit www.campcare.org for more information. This is a fun way to get in your Carolinas FSC volunteer hours! Please respond to Stacey Polak at spolak@carolina.rr.com if you plan to attend. Thank you for your help with this event! View photos from the 2009 Camp Care event.

2009 John Smith Memorial Competition
Friday, September 18th to Sunday, September 20th, 2009
Extreme Ice Center, Indian Trail, NC
Look at those skaters GROW!!!
Are your closets overrun with dresses your skater has outgrown? Well, drop them at the rink for Cindy Dickey to place in our consignment closet :)
Our consignment closet has been quite successful these past two months, the racks are a bit bare now and we could sure use some "new" items. Competition season is coming up and it's a great time to put items in.
Just place items in a bag labeled 'CONSIGNMENT', your name and number, and the asking price for each item and leave for Cindy at the front desk.
- February 20 - 21
- April 24 - 25
